Supporting a Community of Hoopers
METAHOOPS hopes to showcase the ongoing road map of our goal to paint 1000 basketball courts across the world, and now mixing it with modern day visuals and culture. Krause House, a community of hoop fanatics gathering together to own an NBA team is where All In For Sport originated. Krause House, through this global community of fans, has had the opportunity to collaborate with Metahoops on five court projects in the Philippines, two of which were dedication courts to the GOAT of female ball Diana Taurasi and Greek-Nigerian basketball player Giannis Antetokounmpo. This project will continue the Krause House relationship with METAHOOPS and founder Mike Swift as well as build global connections from Miami to the Philippines. This connection across the basketball community strengthens the Krause House mission to be the ‘Internet’s Home Team’ as well as experiment on the fundraising and community governance piece of All In For Sport.
About the Project
The Grow the Game Manila project aims to provide young athletes in the city with improved courts to play on, and a high-energy basketball tournament to bring the community together. At the bridge court, we will be laying a thin sheet of concrete and painting the court with a theme of “Philippines hoops history,” and then will be used for a short basketball game with local athletes (between October 1-3). The second, covered court will be painted as well to encourage basketball within the community, and then utilized for a 3x3 tournament on the afternoon of September 30.
